Signs Your ViewLux Fence Installation Is Failing

• Rail pops out of the bracket. The cause is usually bracket fatigue, not rail damage. ViewLux brackets are UV-stabilized nylon, but after 8-12 years in Campbell’s high-UV index climate, they embrittle and lose their snap retention. The rail itself is often fine; the bracket has simply stopped holding.
• Post leans or wobbles at the base. Campbell’s clay-loam soil expands and contracts with winter rain and summer dry spells. The post sleeve cracks at grade level from repeated flexing.

• Picket tops discolor or craze. ViewLux pickets carry a 20-year UV warranty, but the top cap is the failure point. Campbell’s 260-plus days of annual sun exposure concentrates at the horizontal surface. Crazing precedes brittleness by about two years; once it starts, the picket will snap at the top screw line.
• Gate drags or won’t latch. The gate frame is a welded aluminum rectangle in a vinyl sleeve. Hinge screws back out of the soft vinyl post sleeve; the metal frame twists; the latch no longer meets the strike plate. This is installation-dependent, not material failure, but it is the most common callback we see on ViewLux gates in Campbell.
