• Visible gaps at the frame corners. Dvele’s foam-composite frames expand and contract with temperature, and after repeated cycles the corner keys or fusion welds can open. Campbell’s inland heat, especially on west-facing elevations, accelerates this.
• Multi-point lock won’t engage smoothly. The deadbolt and hook bolts are timed to a single handle throw; if one bolt is sticky, the whole system binds. Often it’s debris in the keeps, but sometimes the gearbox itself has cracked from over-torque.
• Condensation between glass panes. The dual-seal insulated glass unit has failed, and the desiccant in the spacer is saturated. In Campbell’s dry summers this shows up less, but winter mornings make it obvious.
