Signs Your Delta Fence Installation Is Failing

• Rail pops out of the bracket. The Delta snap-lock tab has fatigued - it’s a nylon insert that degrades in UV after seven to ten years. The rail itself is fine; the $12 bracket is the failure point, but the fix requires releasing tension on the whole bay.
• Corrosion blooms at fasteners. Delta’s standard zinc-coated screws oxidize faster within three miles of the Bay’s salt air. Campbell sits far enough inland that this takes five to seven years, not two, but we still find it regularly on east-facing exposures.
• Gate frame racks out of square. The Delta diagonal tension cable has slipped its turnbuckle or the corner bracket has cracked. The gate hangs crooked, stresses the latch, and will eventually tear the hinge side completely.

DIY or Call Us?

What you should not attempt: resetting a leaning post with concrete, tensioning a sagging gate frame, or cutting and splicing a rail.
