The membrane on early Studio units is a 60-mil TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin, a heat-welded rubberized sheet) with proprietary corner flashings that Abodu sourced from a single California fabricator through 2021. Aftermarket TPO exists, but the corner detail geometry changed slightly in 2020, so a 2021 membrane kit won’t seal correctly on a 2019 unit without modification. We carry both OEM-pattern and verified-interchange membrane sets, and we measure your curb dimensions before quoting rather than guessing by model year.

For shingle-roof Abodu units, the issue is usually wind-driven rain penetration at the ADU-to-main-house transition flashing, not the shingles themselves. GAF Timberline HDZ and Owens Corning Duration are the two shingles we most often match in Campbell; both carry a 50-year limited material warranty when installed to spec.

Signs Your Abodu Roofing Is Failing

• Water staining on the ceiling panel nearest the exterior wall.
